    IOWA CITY, IA - - University of Iowa fans will have the opportunity to watch both the Hawkeye football team and the men's basketball team in action over the next two weekends.

    Hawkeye fans who have tickets to the Nov. 10 Minnesota at Iowa football game can purchase a ticket for the Idaho State at Iowa men's basketball game for $10. The Hawkeyes open the regular season Friday night in Carver-Hawkeye Arena in the first official game under Coach Todd Lickliter.

    The following weekend, as the Hawkeye football team closes the regular season by hosting Western Michigan (Nov. 17), the Iowa basketball team hosts Florida Gulf Coast University on Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. Those fans who present a football ticket stub from the Western Michigan game can again purchase a ticket to the basketball event for $10.

    After closing the Big Ten Conference portion of the season against Minnesota, the Hawkeye football team will celebrate Fan Appreciation and Senior Day as Iowa hosts Western Michigan in Kinnick Stadium. Tickets still remain for the final home game of the 2007 football season.

    Along with the discounted tickets for the two men's basketball games, fans attending the Idaho State game will receive a free Iowa basketball poster and schedule magnet.
