IOWA CITY, IA - The Iowa women's tennis team defeated Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon at the UI Recreation Building. The Hawkeyes won 4-3, and move to 4-0 overall.

Hillary Mintz and Meg Racette defeated Kelly Anderson and Sekita Grant to win the No. 1 match 8-4. The team of Deni Alexandrova and Anastasia Zhukova were defeated 9-8 by Georgia Tech's Maria Nieto and Lyndsay Shosho. At the No. 3 match, Iowa's Chelsea Glynn and Jennifer Hodgman were defeated by Kacie Anson and Lindsey Stauss by a score of 8-6.

In singles, Racette won the No. 1 match over Shosho 6-4, 6-7, 6-3. Mintz captured a win over Alison Silverio 7-5, 6-1. Glynn and Zhukova also captured wins at the No. 3 and the No. 4 matches, respectively.

The Hawkeyes will host Kansas State Sunday, February 15, starting at 10 a.m. at the UI Recreation Building.
